Full Moon Sauna | Sun 26th October | Hunter Moon

Evenings at Soala Sauna are always cosy, twinkly and lit but for this one, we’ll let the night sky take over.

October brings us the Hunter's Moon - the full moon that traditionally followed the harvest and marks the time to prepare for the darker months ahead.

With the fields cleared and winter approaching, its bright light extended the day, giving people time to hunt, gather and prepare for the season to come.

The timing of this full moon and it's meaning is particularly fitting, falling on the same night that the clocks go back - daylight shortens, the evenings draw in, and we find ourselves at that unmistakable turning point between autumn and winter.

So, as darkness falls over the river, we're borrowing a little from the Hunter's Moon tradition, taking stock, slowing down and considering what we want to carry with us into the season ahead.
